Rush's show which is often referred to as the EIB Network which stands for Excellence in Broadcasting, began in the late 1980's and has grown enormously over the years, to the lofty spot in has now reached.

Liberal talk radio, in general has failed, the most well known of these, being Air America, featuring among others, Al Franken.

On the TV front, network newscasts, of course, do not have the near monopoly they once had so their numbers and share of audience have slipped dramatically in recent years and continues to do so.

Bill's famous "no spin zone" gets right to the point and let's guests know they will not be receiving softball questions, when they appear.
