Halting The Entitlement Tsunami

Debt is being loaded unfairly upon today’s young workers in a reckless manner.
Bob and I want to do our best to prevent this.
We have been lucky enough to enjoy the fruits of a prosperous, positive America all our lives.
Generation Y-born from 1976 on and Generation X born prior to that, have now begun to face (in the words of the Comptroller General) a "demographic tsunami" with the retirement of the baby boomers. That retirement began in January 2008, when first year boomers became eligible for early retirement-age 62.
Baby boomers are those born one year after WW2 ended, 1946. They reached early retirement age, at 62.
This purpose has been taken up by no less than David M. Walker who is Comptroller General of the United States.
He has committed to touring the nation through the 2008 elections, talking to anybody who will listen about the fiscal black hole Washington has dug itself
Mr. Walker brings along economists as he tours the U.S. relating their basic message which is “If the United States government conducts business as usual over the next few decades, a national debt that is already $9.5 trillion could reach $46 trillion or more, adjusted for inflation.”
That's almost as much as the total net worth of every person in America.
We are working on a plan to join with you of Generations-X and Y-and with groups dedicated to bringing government spending under control.
