As early as the 1600’s, America experienced first hand the failure of socialism. Governor William Bradford implemented socialism at Plymouth and almost immediately recognized the natural effect of the slackers who realized they could let others do the work and still receive the benefits.

He quickly abandoned this failure, implementing a plan to allow workers to retain for themselves what they produced. The producers and the colony as a whole prospered, although the slackers did not fare very well.

We are seeing this today. As obvious as this is, the millions who are receiving the earnings of others’ daily earnings, love it. Of the 137 million who file income tax returns, only 93 million pay any final "net" income tax.

Now, the redistribution mechanism Democrats are about to ram down the throat of the American public will add millions more, of non-taxpaying/tax receiving individuals, possibly even creating a majority who then will inevitably become a solid voting bloc for the Democrats who will continue to give them other people’s money.

Single people just starting out in the work force, who stick to their job, improve their status and do not depend on government by making poor decisions such as those made by unwed mothers and many high school dropouts will be hit particularly hard for their responsible behavior.

Their taxes as a percentage of their income will be confiscatory.

We must find a way to target these responsible young people between the ages of 16 and 21 and inform them of the realities and accurate data listed here.

This includes showing them the economic illiteracy and total dedication to the nanny-state of the Mainstream Media and the danger America now faces from biased and uninformed reporting.

Tied in directly to limiting yearly increases in the federal budget to national economic growth, would be the commitment to start taking less from each state.

Let states make their own decisions on how and what to do with infrastructure, number of employees, priorities in education, how much to tax and spend. We must get back to the original Constitutional mandate to only involve the federal government in individual state affairs when absolutely necessary or to spend money only on projects that clearly benefit the nation as a whole.

Those states that act responsibly with their own money will be glad to retain more of it at home, where they will use it much more efficiently.

Wouldn’t this put Governors who ran against retaining more of their own money on the defensive forcing them to tell taxpayers they want to want to spend more in Washington, only to get less of it back?

Of course, each state must pay its fair share for the national government. However the federal government is now absurdly involved unnecessarily into far too many areas and in an absurdly inefficient manner.

An equal amount of difficulty in obtaining a Fair Tax would be it is a 100% revision of the present system, so that arguments of uncertainty-even if not true would be much easier to cause massive confusion to even highly savvy tax payers.

The Flat Tax on the other hand is a very simple concept, only a slight revision of what we now have, with just one rate and could unquestionably set up to require a very very simple form of no more than 11 lines of information as small or smaller than a postcard.
