Congressional Leaders have stripped the E-Verify provisions from the stimulus. Last Friday, the House passed the final version vote of the nearly $1.1 trillion spending bill (H.R.1) by a vote of 246 to 183 and the Senate passed the bill by a vote of 60 to 38. President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law later today. (Tuesday, February 17, 2009).
Congress stripped the critical E-Verify programs from the bill, which is now scheduled to expire on March 6th, after bowing to pressure from the open-borders lobby and big business interests. (Computerworld, February 13, 2009). On the day the final version of the bill passed the Senate, Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-CT) made a speech on the Senate floor in which he referenced Sen. Jeff Sessions' (R-AL) E-Verify amendment. (Learn more about Senator Sessions' amendment). Sen. Dodd voiced his support for E-Verify and then reassured Senator Sessions that Senate Democrats intended to take up a Continuing Resolution in the next few weeks which would not only fund the federal government through the end of the fiscal year (Sept. 30, 2009) but also include just a seven month E-Verify extension.
As a result of this Congressional action, true immigration reformers are now questioning whether the Congressional Leadership has decided to hold the reauthorization of E-Verify hostage to leverage the program as a bargaining chip to try to pass "comprehensive immigration reform." Steps Suggested by Dr. Carafano
* Negotiate and sign bilateral agreements for new countries to enter the program.
* Verify that participating countries can track the exits of their citizens to the U.S. to ensure that they do not overstay and reside unlawfully in the United States.By law, countries with excessive overstay rates must be dropped from the program.
* Establish an electronic travel authorization system to allow for pre-screening of international travelers. These systems are rapidly becoming an international norm. Australia, for example, has already successfully implemented travel prescreening over the Internet.

Hillary and Obama Pander To La Raza
La Raza is a group whose agenda is illegal immigration and separatism from American tradition and American values.
Like the other phonies who blamed talk radio and racism for the defeat of the open border sham bill that failed La Raza has also resorted to the tactics of the boo-hoo crowd, blaming the failure of that terrible bill on racism.
La Raza gets serious amounts of money in Jesse Jackson style, shaking down big companies and getting federal pork.
Obama recently bragged how he stood with Latinos in a parade in May.
Hillary even hired a Mariachi band to honor the co-chair of La Raza.

Immigration Reform July 11, 2007
On Monday, July 2, Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) signed what seems to be a tough illegal immigration bill. The governor called it "the most aggressive action in the country."
As of January 1, businesses must be run all new hires through a federal database (Basic Pilot) to make certain the new hires are legal. A first offense of hiring an undocumented worker would mean a business license suspension of up to 10 days. A second offense would mean losing one's business license, and no longer being able to do business in Arizona.

MICHELLE MALKIN VS. GERALDO RIVERA PART II
An Immigration Reform Bill, will soon be introduced in Congress, by House member Mike Pence of Indiana.
The plan will include a Guest Worker Program but not an Amnesty Program.
The main features are:
Illegal aliens here now, must leave and come back legally, under the terms of the guest-worker program.
Coming back legally includes having a job opportunity in the U.S.
A guest-worker program would be run by the private sector under agencies licensed by the federal government.
An entire process of fingerprinting, health screening, matching workers to employers and getting information to the proper authorities, would be done by these agencies.
This would lead to a visa if the necessary background check yielded the proper results, all of this done in less than one week, if worked out as planned.
Anyone may apply but the necessary visa could be issued only outside the United States, thus enabling an individual to enter legally.
There would be no cap on visas issued for the first three years.
After three years the number of visas issued would depend on U.S. job needs, determined by the Department of Labor.
There would be strict employer enforcement to include a nationwide electronic employment-verification system.
